Safety First...

Here at On Point Training, our focus is firmly on shooter safety, the public’s safety and we passionately believe that this comes from quality education.

Whether your reasons for taking the course are due to a desire to obtain your PAL/RPAL or simply to gain knowledge as you live in a household with firearms, our instructors are knowledgeable, patient and can help you to become confident and competent in the presence and use of firearms.

With many years of training experience, we pride ourselves on ensuring you are comfortable with all aspects of firearms safety prescribed by the RCMP and the CFO and that you take the appropriate course specifically for your needs. We offer classroom-based modules with plenty of hands-on practical experience. We believe that learning about firearms should be fun and not intimidating or make you feel uneasy. We are here to ensure you are confident, in control and most important…SAFE!

Increased safety awareness is paramount in the prevention of unintentional death or injury from firearms-related incidents. Safety education programs such as the Canadian Firearms Program were introduced to eliminate or reduce the risks of firearms-related injuries.

As of January 1, 2001, all Canadians are required to hold a valid licence to possess and acquire firearms.

Section 7 of  The Firearms Act requires that individuals wishing to acquire non-restricted, restricted and prohibited firearms must take the appropriate firearms safety courses and pass the relevant examinations.

Challenges to the CFSC/CRFSC examinations are no longer offered under the Common Sense Firearms Licencing Act Bill C-42.
