This course is for students who prefer to enjoy an in-person experience rather than an online study option.

Successful completion of the CORE Hunter Education course exam is required to obtain your Fish & Wildlife ID (FWID). This is a passport to hunting services in British Columbia. You need a FWID to buy a hunting licence or to apply for Limited Entry Hunting.

Students wishing to challenge the Conservation & Outdoor Recreation (CORE) practical and/or written exams can do so via our exam-challenge offering. For information on self-study options, please see this link.

If a student has a copy of their CFSC report form showing successful completion, they are exempt from the practical firearms handling portion of the CORE exam. Please note that the course report form is required; a PAL or POL is NOT sufficient.
