Firearms and hunting law

Firearms and hunting laws, licensing requirements and course requirements change. We try to keep our content accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current or applicable to your situation. Always confirm the requirements with the RCMP, the Chief Firearms Officer, the BC Wildlife Federation or another qualified authority before relying on anything you read here.

No guarantee of licensing or results

Completing a course, passing an in-house assessment or receiving a certificate does not guarantee that you will pass an examination, be issued a licence or registration, or be approved by any authority. Those decisions are made by the relevant authorities and are outside our control.

Our courses involve physical activity and, in firearms courses, the supervised handling of firearms. You are responsible for deciding whether you can safely take part and for following all safety instructions. Do not handle any firearm or equipment unless you have been instructed and are supervised.
