Range courses

Live-fire and range courses

Whether you are a first-time shooter or looking to refine your skills, our range courses give you a safe, supportive place to reach your goals.

We know shooting

A learning path you build yourself

Our range courses are built for everyone, from the student who has never fired a shot to the experienced shooter who wants formal, structured training. Group and private courses are both available, so you can learn alongside new range friends or book the whole course for yourself.

Our learning paths are modular. You can build your own path at your own pace, without repeating modules or paying for things you do not need. Group courses have specific agendas and goals and offer good value. Private courses let you book all the seats and tailor the content to your needs.

You do not need to have completed the CFSC or CRFSC first. Range courses have no licensing prerequisites, and because our classes are small and closely supervised, we can meet you at your level.

Bring your own firearms and ammunition if you hold the appropriate license.

Or use ours: firearm rentals and ammunition are available for an additional fee.

Licensing is separate. If you are working toward your PAL, start with the licensing courses.

We know safety

Close supervision, small groups

Safety is our highest priority in every range-based course. To keep instruction personal and supervision close, we maintain very small ratios of students per instructor.

Availability depends on instructor numbers, with a typical cap of six students per session. That keeps the day focused and supportive, and it means you get the repetitions and the feedback you came for.

Our introductory courses assume no prior firearms experience, and they are just as useful for the student with experience who wants to start a journey of formal training. We build the fundamentals of handling live firearms, and the confidence to practice independently.

Every range course is led by instructors with decades of combined firearms and training experience.

Dry practice

Build the habit without the noise

Dry practice is how shooters rehearse the fundamentals without recoil, noise or ammunition: grip, presentation, sight picture and trigger control. Repetition in a calm setting is what makes good habits automatic and builds the muscle-memory that is crucial to moving on from beginner status.

Our pistol dry-fire session is positioned primarily as a 'try before you buy', allowing interested users to experience the benefits of owning their own equipment. It works alongside the live-fire courses rather than replacing them.

We are proud business members of the CCFR, and we credit them as the primary organisation responsible for opposing the continued constraints on Canadian firearms owners pushed by the federal government.
